CUPA Trustee Mrs. Suparna Ganguly honored for work in animal welfare (again!) – 19 JANUARY, 2017

In a glittering event on January 9, 2017 in Bangalore, CUPA’s Co-Founder Mrs. Suparna Ganguly was bestowed the prestigious “Pride of Karnataka 2016” award in the Social Work category in a ceremony jointly conducted by the Round Table of India and the Ladies Circle India.

Fellow awardees included Mrs. Shilpa Shetty in the Health and Wellness category and Mr. Danish Sait in the Entertainment category.

In her acceptance speech, Suparna reminisced the times when animals were sheltered in their bedrooms of their homes, and the 25-year journey that overcame several challenges and obstacles along the way. She spoke on behalf of the entire animal welfare fraternity when she thanked the organizers for recognizing the importance of animal welfare and highlighting the cause.

CUPA is tremendously proud of its Trustees and the entire team for the collective efforts and achievements in animal welfare that have provided solace and well-being to several thousand animals over the years.
